A long-time favourite with rum fans, Mount Gay XO was relaunched in 2020 as Mount Gay XO Triple Cask Blend, emphasising this iconic rum’s credentials as a masterpiece of blending.

Mount Gay XO is comprised of rums aged between 5 and 17 years—a change from the previous incarnation of Mount Gay XO, whose rums were aged between 8 and 15 years—with the assemblage containing both pot still and column still rums, as is customary at Mount Gay.

These rums are, as the name suggests, from three different cask types: mainly ex-bourbon and non-bourbon American whiskey, but also some Cognac casks, presumably from owner Remy Martin.

Tasting Notes of Mount Gay XO Triple Cask Blend Rum

코: Perfect balance of vanilla, oaky and dry spice notes.

Taste: Salted caramel, baked fig and clove, dark chocolate.

Body: Round, smooth and richly creamy with a long finish.
