A cask-strength 12-year-old Clynelish bottled for Diageo’s Special Releases 2022, this Clynelish is subtitled The Wildcat’s Golden Gaze, presumably referring to its rich gold color and perhaps also to the fact that it’s clearly one of the picks of the 2022 litter. This Clynelish 12-year-old started life in refill American oak before being transferred for finishing into casks seasoned with Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso sherry, giving it extra layers of sweet fruit on the palate. Bottled at a sturdy 58.5%, this Special Release Clynelish 12-year-old will be bursting with flavor.
