The One Colheita Cask Finished Whisky 70cl

The Lakes Distillery’s The One series of blended whiskies takes another step with this Colheita Cask Finished blend, which has been bottled at 46.6% without colouring or chill filtration.

The word “colheita” means “harvest” in its native Portugal, where it is used to refer to grapes and wines from a single year that are destined to become vintage Port. After marrying together The Lakes spirit with selected single malt and grain whiskies from Islay, Speyside and the Highlands, the assemblage is married in Colheita port casks to add an extra layer of fruity flavour to The One Colheita Cask Finished blend.

Colheita (Col-yate-a) means “harvest”, referring to the exclusive use of grapes from a single crop to create a vintage port.

Peach cobbler, fresh apricot, and a whiff of autumnal smoke on the nose lead to a palate of ripe plums, vanilla custard, and warming cinnamon with a rich and comforting finish.

Non-chill filtered for a richer mouthfeel and fuller flavor, with only the natural colors derived from our oak casks in every bottle.
