Tomatin 30 year old batch 5 is a small batch limited edition matured in a mix of ex-bourbon and traditional oak casks, the latter generally meaning third or fourth refill casks, which are perfect for long-aged whiskies as they allow the distillery character to retain its voice without letting the oak dominate too much. This 30-year-old Tomatin will be bottled at 46% ABV without coloring or chill filtration. It will be a belter.
