The Yoichi distillery of Nikka, established in 1934 on the northernmost island of Hokkaido in the Japanese archipelago, produces the Yoichi 10-year-old single malt. With nuanced scents of dried fruit, ripe banana, and malted grain that harmoniously meld with more subdued notes of black pepper and peat smoke, Yoichi 10 Years Old has a fresh, herbaceous profile. The strong flavors of custard, smoky oak, and an elegant touch of peat are present on the palate along with crispness and smoothness. The finish is lengthy and warm with well balanced spicy and woody notes.

Yoichi 10 2022, This single malt is made from a blend of malt whiskies that have been distilled and aged for at least 10 years in oak casks, using traditional methods such as direct charcoal toasting, brought back after a visit to Scotland by Masataka Taketsuru, the founder of Nikka.
