Macallan Litha Single Malt Whisky
The Macallan Litha was released in 2023 for the Chinese market. Litha is the Celtic name for the summer solstice and means “light.” This incomparable whisky is exclusively matured in first-fill sherry-seasoned oak casks from Jerez de la Frontera in Spain. This rare Macallan Litha represents the coming together of Scotland and Spain to create an exceptional single malt whisky.
It is encased in a colorful presentation box featuring an illustration by Sija Hong, an award-winning, US-based Chinese illustrator. This artwork represents the union of two worlds: Scotland (depicted on the right in blue) and Spain (depicted on the left in red).
Tasting Notes
Nose: butterscotch, vanilla, and chocolate with citrus and tropical fruits.
Taste: vanilla ice cream topped with a berry compote, toasted oak, warming wood spice, salted caramel, and pecans.
Finish: medium with fruits, vanilla, and oak.
