A great vintage with fruit that shows promise. A healthy harvest and a favorable environment defined the summer of 1989. The Domaine Frapin property is where the Millésime 1989 got its start. The grape material was fermented in three barrels in Frapin’s damp cellar before being distilled on the lees. At Frapin, this moist storage is an exception.
Tasting Remarks
Nase: delicate orange, apricot, and fruit notes
Gaumen: Fruity notes of baked apricots along with tobacco and leather undertones make up the palate.
Finish: Longer, more gradual Abgang
