Bomberger’s Declaration, Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey from Michter’s Distillery honors the legacy of the former distillery known as Bomberger’s in the 1800s and Michter’s in the 20th century.
This 2023 bottling continues Bomberger’s tradition; the whiskey was aged in Chinquapin oak (Quercus muehlenbergii) and charred American oak casks.
Small batch; only 2,965 bottles were released.
Tasting Notes
Nose: dark fruit accompanied by nuts and burnt caramel.
Taste: deep, rich molasses giving way to layers of dried fruit and transitioning into rich chocolate and a warm, long baking spice finish.
Finish: lingering and complex.
