Tobermory 21 Year Old Whiskey
Introduced in late 2022, this 21-year-old Tobermory is a welcome addition to the distillery’s core range and has been bottled at the distillery’s standard 46.3% without colouring or chill filtration.
This first bottling of Tobermory 21-year-old came from a small batch of refill casks filled in 1999 before being transferred to Oloroso sherry casks in 2015 for the final seven years of maturation.
Although there are no hard and fast rules, we’d consider that a proper double maturation rather than a finishing period, so this unpeated Tobermory 21-year-old should be superb.
Official Tasting Notes
Colour: Deep Gold Nose: Marzipan, hazelnuts, toffee and treacle. Furniture wax.
Palate: Cherry wood, brown sugar, caramelised pineapples and sticky toffee.
Finish: Fresh, light and sweet.
