Writer’s Tears Red Head is a mystery Irish whiskey from distillers and independent bottlers, Walsh Whiskey. Red Head has been a big hit for Writers’ Tears since its introduction in 2016.

Unlike its stablemates, Writers’ Tears Red Head is not a mix of single pot still and single malt Irish whiskey-it’s made entirely with triple-distilled Irish single malt whiskey, and furthermore, it’s aged in European oak casks seasoned with Oloroso sherry, giving it a deep reddish gold colour.

Official Tasting Notes:

Nose: orange peel, dried fruits, and sherry plums. 

Nutty Oloroso, spicy raisins, and creamy oak on the palate. 

Finish: long & complex with a flourish of orange.
