Kilchoman Small Batch 4 | 2022 Release 70cl/49.8%

This is the fourth edition of Kilchoman’s Small Batch series, and it really is a small batch, with just 1260 bottles produced, bottled at 49.8% without coloring or chill filtration.

Matured in a combination of 70% ex-bourbon casks, 25% STR (shaved, toasted, and recharred) casks, and the remaining 5% Oloroso sherry matured in Kilchoman. For this batch, the bourbon casks were reduced to 46% before vatting, and the STR cask went into the vat at full strength to emphasize its flavors and maximize its influence. A punchy, full-flavored Islay treat.

Nase: Classic Kilchoman citrus sweetness gives way to red berries, baking spices, and herbal notes. 

Gaumen Summer fruit and red grape sweetness, white chocolate, light hints of smokiness, charred pineapple and toffee. 

Finish: A long lingering smoky finish
