Dalwhinnie 30-year-old Special Releases 2019 is an elegant old-school Highland dram and is also of historical interest, having been distilled in the brief period when the distillery was operating without its worm tubs, which had been removed in 1986 but were restored in 1995.

Dalwhinnie is a true mountain malt from Scotland’s highest distillery, which is part of the country’s coldest inhabited community.It is as well adapted to the harsh climate of its barren and often desolate location as the mountain hares that abound in the surrounding hills.

This small batch of Dalwhinnie enjoys rich layers of flavor, developed over 30 years of maturation in refill hogsheads and butts. They have brought to the peak of perfection the moorland aromas and smoothly sweet, yet also surprisingly peppery, tastes that define the distillery’s character.
