Blended Irish Whiskey
Distillery Bottling 70cl/43%
The Hinch distillery in County Down, Northern Ireland began distilling operations at the end of 2020, and in the meantime, while we wait for their own Irish single malt whiskey, they have cannily invested in a trove of sourced Irish pot still, single malt, and grain whiskey to bottle while their own spirit matures.
This Hinch 5-year-old Double Wood is a mix of Irish malt (25%) and grain (75%) whiskeys, aged for four years in ex-bourbon casks before a final year finishing in virgin oak.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Distinct citrus fruit on the nose
