Kilchoman Land Rover European Tour 2023 Single Malt Whisky
This limited edition release was distilled at the Kilchoman distillery on Islay and bottled for their 2023 European Land Rover Tour. Bottles are only available for purchase at tour stops. It was matured in a combination of bourbon and port casks, then bottled at cask strength.
Only 3,325 bottles were released.
Nose: soft notes of sea spray and anchovy with gentle walnuts, a touch of golden syrup and sultanas, then a whiff of porridge, melon, and coastal peat. Finally, some bright citrus touches.
Taste: quite a silky or creamy mouthfeel. The arrival is somewhat spicy. Cloves, nutmeg, pepper, plenty of earthy peat, black olives, seawater, and mead. A touch of nutty and charred lemons.
Finish: long and salty, with medicinal peat, sauerkraut, and some subtle stone fruits.
