One of the best entry-level bourbons, Maker’s Mark stands out from the crowd not just for its distinctive red wax-cap and square bottle, but more importantly for its gentle, no-rye, wheated mashbill and its 45% strength, which adds complexity and depth to the flavour. Trivia fans may also be interested to know that Maker’s Mark bourbon is also one of the only American producers to call itself “whisky” without the extra “e”.
