Yamazaki’s 2017 limited edition is bottled without an age statement. The limited edition has been put together using 20-year-old sherry, European oak and port cask whisky, and some “young talents” that have been matured in Bourbon barrels and American oak.

The reputation created by earlier Limited Edition releases is built upon by the Yamazaki Limited Edition 2017. Suntory introduced its Limited Edition line-up in 2014, releasing a new product every year. The bottles have become more and more well-liked as collectibles and excellent whiskies. Suntory has not provided much specifics about the 2017 release. We do know that this whisky is a blend of different single malt vintages that have matured in different types of casks, some of which have been aged for more than 20 years. A necessity for any fan of Japanese whisky!
