The Shizuoka Pot Still W “Pure Japanese Barley First Edition”
Pure Japanese barley was used in the production of this exquisite whisky from the world-class Shizuoka Distillery, setting it apart from the competition. Shizuoka’s inventiveness and devotion have paid off with a flavor-packed, silky, and moreish single malt—something that not many distilleries in Japan have yet accomplished. Numerous fruits and spices, melted dark chocolate, cut apples, and rich wood are to be anticipated.
The Bottle
Only distiller K is used. 100% Japanese barley malt is used.
Not only is it a single malt whisky (only the original spirit from a single distillery), it is composed of only the original spirit from a single first distiller. The delicate and luscious flavor of the Japanese barley is further refined and elegant by distiller “K”. This flavor is unique and only Shizuoka Distillery can produce it.
To create a stunning pale amber whisky, Shizuoka Distillery always separates the original whisky from each first distiller utilized and matures it for a minimum of 3 to a maximum of 5 years in the lush Oku-Shizuoka environment. This product was created by mixing several casks that adhere to the same standards (used Japanese barley malt and distiller “K”).
Ingredients: 100% Japanese barley malt is used for the malt. Bourbon and wine barrels were used for the casks. This Japanese whisky is made using only Japanese domestic products from raw materials.
