Bruichladdich Bere Barley 2012 | 10 Year Old 70cl / 50%
An unpeated 10-year-old Bruichladdich Bere Barley 2012 bottled in 2022 as part of Bruichladdich’s Barley Provenance series. Bere barley is an ancient grain believed to be the UK’s oldest cultivated cereal crop, but is rarely used by distillers because of its low yields.
This Bere barley was grown in Orkney and was distilled at Bruichladdich in 2012, spending 10 years maturing in first-fill ex-bourbon casks before being bottled in 2022 without colouring or chill filtration at a great drinking strength of 50%. A spicy, fruity dram with a wonderfully creamy texture.
