The Nikka Taketsuru 17-year old is an old bottle of the marvellous Pure Malt, which was always right in the sweet spot between the 12-year-old and 21-year-old Taketsuru blends. The 17-year-old was livelier than the 21-year-old and deeper and more complex than its youthful sibling, the Nikka Taketsuru. The 17-year-old was a standard-bearer for Japanese blending.
