Cameronbridge 30 Years Old 1991-2022
cameronbridge 30 year old, A single grain whisky bottled at cask strength without coloring or chill filtration by Douglas Laing for their XOP Extra Old Particular series.
This XOP Cameronbridge 1991 40-year-old spent its days in Cask DL15726, a refill hogshead that yielded a nice round 250 bottles at its natural strength of 49.6%. Cameronbridge’s whisky is most famous for being marketed in a fancy blue bottle as the dreary Haig Club; this cask strength 30-year-old will be an entirely different experience, rich and sweet and bursting with flavour.
Official Tasting Notes:
Nose: The nose is redolent of barley sugar, lightly burnt butterscotch, honey, and cereals.
Palate: The palate is sweet as expected, with red fruit jam plus later mixed spices.
Finish: Catch vanilla custard on the finish, with maple syrup, double cream, and a late gristy quality.
