Rye Whiskey
derived from a grain blend with at least 51% rye. in fresh barrels made of charred oak. maximum 160 proof, or 80% alcohol by volume (ABV), during distillation. In reality, the majority of rye is distilled out at a proof lower than this. at a proof not to exceed 125 (62.5% ABV), put into the barrel for maturing.
